What You'll Be Doing

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Digital Merchandiser to optimize product presentation and performance on our online store. This role focuses on leveraging data insights to enhance user experience, drive sales, and ensuring a seamless shopping experience that maximizes conversion rates and revenue. The ideal candidate will be adept at analysing metrics, identifying trends, and implementing data-driven strategies to ensure the online store exceeds business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Track and analyse e-commerce performance metrics, including conversion rates, sales trends, inventory turnover, and revenue per visitor.
  • Create and deliver detailed reports and dashboards to stakeholders, offering insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor site search behaviour and usage patterns to improve discoverability and optimize product tagging.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Use competitive analysis and market data to benchmark and refine online merchandising strategies.
  • Analyse product performance and customer behaviour to inform merchandising strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with central Supply Chain and Buying teams, both internal and external, to develop and customize OTB planning and strategies that align with diverse customer preferences across various countries.
  • Analyse inventory data to recommend adjustments in product placement and promotions.
  • Use historical sales data to assist in forecasting demand and aligning product availability with customer preferences.
  • Site Merchandising:
  • Strategically organize product categories, collections, and landing pages for an optimal shopping experience.
  • Optimize sorting rules, filters, and search features to align with customer behaviour and business objectives.
  • Ensure product availability and visibility align with inventory levels and demand forecasts.
  • Implement and maintain cross-sell and upsell strategies.
  • Testing and Optimization:
  • Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of different merchandising strategies, such as pricing, product placement, and brand adjacencies.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the online user experience based on data insights and user feedback.
  • Continuously test and enhance site performance focusing on navigation, search, re-directs and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to improve the efficiency of merchandising operations.
  • Leverage e-commerce platforms and tools to implement merchandising initiatives.
  • Collaboration:
  • Partner with Buying, Inventory, and Marketing teams to align on product launches, inventory management, and promotional strategies.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI teams to enhance site navigation, search functionality filtering, cross-selling, and overall user experience for improved customer engagement.
  • Work with Tech teams to ensure seamless integration of tools, platforms, and systems that support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Project Management teams to drive the planning, execution, and delivery of new initiatives, ensuring alignment across departments.
  • Engage with external partners to drive innovation, ensuring new features, systems, and developments are effectively integrated and onboarded.
  • Foster cross-departmental alignment to ensure a unified approach to customer satisfaction, business goals, and technology deployment.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • 3+ years of experience in merchandising, e-commerce, or a similar analytical role.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (LOOKER, Google Analytics) and experience creating reports/dashboards.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Magento, Dynamic Yield, Centric Pricing, Edited or Klevu.
  • Strong Excel skills is a mandatory.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
