Top Technical Requirements:

  • Project Site Planning - Lead the planning and setup of project sites, ensuring the availability of necessary resources and scheduling upcoming tasks and activities effectively.
  • Transportation Management - Arrange suitable transportation methods to facilitate the movement of goods in alignment with project requirements, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
  • Material Handling and Storage - Oversee the process of receiving, dispatching, and storing materials, managing information flow from origin to delivery, and promptly resolving any issues that may arise to maintain efficiency.
  • Shipment Tracking and Documentation - Track shipments to ensure on-time delivery, maintain complete documentation, and obtain necessary authorizations to uphold accurate records.
  • Inventory Management - Utilize inventory management systems to monitor and optimize inventory levels, minimizing costs while ensuring adequate supplies for project needs.
  • Storage Facility Oversight - Organize storage areas and supervise the repair and maintenance of storage facilities to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Workflow Coordination - Coordinate and monitor workflow, ensuring all involved parties perform their assigned tasks optimally, including logistics operators, helpers, and contractors.
  • Staff Training and Development - Identify training needs for junior staff, maintaining high working standards, and fostering continuous improvement in logistics operations.
  • Data Management and Reporting - Maintain logistics databases and prepare regular reports on material movements and logistics matters to track performance and inform decision-making.
  • Process Improvement - Review existing processes and systems, identify improvement opportunities, and design/implement new plans and procedures as needed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Safety Compliance - Ensure compliance with all legislative safety directives and regulations, including OSHAD policies and protocols, to maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.
  • Supporting Accountabilities
  • Planning and Organization - Proficient in Logistics ERP system for streamlined operations.
  • Relationship Building - Knowledgeable in safety regulations for effective relationship management.
  • Communication and Influence - Skilled in supply chain logistics for clear communication and influence.
  • Customer Focus - Prioritize customer needs in logistics endeavors

Knowledge/Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum 12 years of extensive experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Preferred 5+ years of experience in Logistics and Warehousing in Defence Manufacturing company.
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration; Supply Chain Management, Logistics or relevant field
  • Proficiency in negotiation techniques to secure favorable terms with vendors, carriers, and other stakeholders, such as pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
