Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to join our Abu Dhabi office. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) in compliance with Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (DoT) requirements. This role requires a professional with proven local experience, strong analytical skills, and advanced proficiency in transport planning and traffic engineering software.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to join our Abu Dhabi office. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) in compliance with Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (DoT) requirements. This role requires a professional with proven local experience, strong analytical skills, and advanced proficiency in transport planning and traffic engineering software.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) in line with Abu Dhabi DoT standards and approval processes.
- Apply modelling tools such as CUBE using DoT’s STEAM Model for transport planning and demand forecasting.
- Conduct data collection, calibration, validation, and traffic forecasting exercises to support TIS submissions.
- Use advanced transport and traffic modelling tools including PTV VISUM, VISSIM, VISTRO, and traffic analysis software such as SYNCHRO and SIDRA.
- Analyse and interpret traffic and transport data, producing high-quality reports and recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
- Liaise with government authorities, developers, and key stakeholders to ensure timely project approvals.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Transport Planning, or related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience, with strong expertise in Traffic Impact Studies (TIS) in Abu Dhabi.
- Hands-on experience with CUBE and the DoT’s STEAM Model.
- Proficiency in transport and traffic engineering software, including:
- PTV Software Suite: VISUM, VISSIM, VISTRO
- Traffic analysis tools: SYNCHRO, SIDRA
- Strong quantitative and data analysis skills.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills in English.
- Prior consulting experience in transport planning is highly advantageous.
