About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Waiter/ess to join the F&B Service Team in Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Greet guests with warm welcome and smile. Escort them to their tables. Answer inquiries about food and beverage items on the menu.
• Assist guests by explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods, where applicable.
• Offer food and wine suggestions. Take food and beverage orders accurately including any special requests. Inform Kitchen as per the request.
• Deliver and serve food, using a fork and spoon, from platters directly to the guests' plates at the table. Use established food handling and serving techniques as per Jumeirah standard.
• Responsible for cashiering service such as generating bills from the MICROS system/ presenting guests with fully supported bills or accounts that can be settled by pay approved. method, including, and not limited to advance payment, credit/debit card payments, local and foreign currency.
• Responsible for overseeing operations of section of the restaurant. Get feedback from the guests on the food and beverages and services offered.
  

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• One year of experience in the same position in a restaurant sector: within a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or upscale bar setting.
• Fluent in English and an additional international language is a plus.
• Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications: Micros and Sevenrooms.
• Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
