WSP are looking for an experienced Senior or Principal Transport Planner/Modeller to join our consultancy, contributing to major transport infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will lead transport planning & modelling efforts, using Cube software, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

Candidates should have experience of Abu Dhabi Strategic Transportation Evaluation and Assessment Model (STEAM).

Your new role, what's involved?

• Lead and manage transport modelling activities for large-scale urban and regional transport projects.
• Develop and apply transport models using Cube software for scenario testing, forecasting, and analysis.
• Contribute to the preparation of transport assessments, strategic transport plans, and feasibility studies.
• Provide expertise on public transport, road networks, active travel, and demand management solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including government authorities and developers, to align transport models with local and regional policies.
• Produce high-quality technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior modellers and planners, providing technical leadership and guidance.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
• Stay current with advancements in transport modelling techniques and best practices.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• 5-14 years of experience in transport planning and modelling, with a focus on urban and regional projects.
• Proficiency in Cube software for transport modelling, simulation, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi’s transport infrastructure, policies, and regulations.
• Experience of Abu Dhabi Strategic Transportation Evaluation and Assessment Model (STEAM).
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in scenario testing and demand forecasting.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
• Experience with additional modelling tools such as VISSIM, VISUM, or SYNCHRO.
• Knowledge of sustainable transport planning, including active travel and public transport systems.
