We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Server Administrator to maintain, upgrade, and manage our servers and network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in server management, system architecture, security best practices, and troubleshooting methodologies.

- Install, configure, and maintain Windows and/or Linux servers.
- Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis; upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Perform system backups and recovery.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other server roles.
- Maintain system security through access controls, firewalls, and antivirus.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to servers.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with network administrators and security teams to ensure high availability and secure infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end users and junior IT staff.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a Server Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and strategies.
- Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, CompTIA Server+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and ticketing systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
