Service Advisor (225-715)

Job Description

As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for customers in need of vehicle maintenance and repair. Your role involves understanding the needs of customers and ensuring their vehicles receive the best possible service. You will facilitate the repair process by communicating effectively with customers and the service team. As an approachable expert, you will provide guidance on vehicle maintenance and relay technical recommendations to customers in an understandable manner. Additionally, you will ensure that all services are performed efficiently and within the given budget and time frame. Your aim will be to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and a pleasant experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and establish trusting, professional relationships with them.
• Listen to customer concerns and assess their vehicle service needs accurately.
• Provide detailed explanations of services required or recommended for their vehicles.
• Prepare accurate and detailed repair orders and cost estimates for customers.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely and effective vehicle repairs.
• Maintain open communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles.
• Handle customer complaints tactfully and provide solutions to resolve them swiftly.
• Promote additional services and parts to optimize vehicle performance and longevity.
• Manage customer records and ensure all service documentation is complete and accurate.
• Ensure vehicles are delivered to customers on time and in excellent condition.
• Check and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the service area.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and service techniques.
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification is a plus.
• Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
• Ability to understand technical aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair services.
• Competence in preparing and maintaining clear, accurate service records.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and service management software.
• A keen eye for detail and ability to handle tasks efficiently and effectively.
