Job Description

As a Shop Assistant specializing in lighting solutions, your role is integral to the smooth operation and success of our retail store. You will be the face of our company, providing excellent customer service and expert advice to customers, helping them find the perfect lighting products to enhance their spaces. Your responsibilities will include maintaining inventory, creating appealing in-store displays, and ensuring the shop floor is organized and welcoming. Additionally, you will handle financial transactions and process sales while maintaining an accurate record of all customer interactions. Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers as they enter the lighting shop.
• Provide detailed product information and expert advice about lighting solutions.
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate lighting products to meet their needs.
• Maintain and organize stock inventory, ensuring displays are well-stocked.
• Setup and arrange in-store displays to create an inviting shopping environment.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.
• Operate the point of sale system to process sales transactions efficiently.
• Maintain accurate financial transaction records and handle cash responsibly.
• Keep the shop clean and ensure the safety standards are met at all times.
• Work collaboratively with the store management and staff to achieve sales targets.
• Stay updated with new lighting trends and product features.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills to assist diverse clientele.
• Basic knowledge of lighting products or a willingness to learn.
• Ability to operate basic computer software and point of sale systems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain tidy displays.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
