Site Engineer – Electrical & ELV (MEP Project)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Engineer – Electrical & ELV to join our project team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the execution of electrical and ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor electrical and ELV installation works at site as per drawings, specifications, and approved method statements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
• Review IFC drawings and raise RFIs when required; ensure implementation of redline/as-built markups.
• Inspect site work regularly and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and engineering standards.
• Ensure material inspections (MRIRs) and site inspections (WIRs) are conducted and approved.
• Support project manager with progress reports, site measurements, and documentation.
• Provide technical input during planning, design coordination, and execution stages.
• Attend technical and progress meetings with clients and consultants.
• Liaise with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely material delivery.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and handing-over activities.
  
  

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of site experience in Electrical and ELV systems in MEP projects in the UAE.
• Hands-on knowledge of systems such as Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, BMS, Structured Cabling, and Public Address.
• Strong familiarity with DEWA/ADDC/AADC/Etisalat/DU regulations and approvals.
• Excellent reading and interpretation skills of electrical layouts and ELV schematics.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and electrical design tools.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with major MEP contractors or consultants in the UAE.
• UAE driving license is an advantage.
• Knowledge of LEED or ESTIDAMA is a plus.
