Social Worker

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our Allied Health team at Reem Hospital. This role is focused on providing essential support to patients and their families, ensuring they are guided through difficult times with care, dignity, and respect. You will work closely with the Senior Social Worker and interdisciplinary teams to safeguard vulnerable individuals and promote international standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct social, emotional, and environmental assessments for patients and families.
• Provide counseling and support for long-term planning, crisis management, and decision-making.
• Collaborate with nursing, allied health staff, and homecare coordinators to develop care plans.
• Coordinate with community resources and charity organizations to arrange patient support.
• Contribute to quality management, accreditation, and continuous service improvement programs.
• Participate in staff education, training, and development activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.
• Act as a liaison with other departments, promoting effective communication and positive patient experiences.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (valid license from home country required).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Social Worker in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
• Strong communication skills in English and Arabic (mandatory).
• Knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations and international accreditation standards.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
