Background

Faze 3 Consulting is a digital transformation consultancy that helps clients review and refine their digital transformation strategy, develop a benefits-driven roadmap for solution development, and ensures best practice in establishing an effective Program Management Office (PMO), Program delivery and Project management capability.

Faze 3 are supporting a leading organization in the Offshore Marine Services industry in transforming their business and data architecture and require a full-time, freelance Solutions Architect (Data) based on site at the clients premises in Abu Dhabi.

The duration of this role is approx. 3 months with the possibility of extension.

Role Overview

The Solutions Architect will play an important role in the transformation program, responsible for designing the data platform architecture to support the client’s transition to an integrated and scalable operational model. This role will focus on defining data structures, implementing governance policies, and selecting technologies to ensure high-quality, unified data that drives business insights and AI readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data governance policies, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure alignment with client’s strategic goals.
• Design and develop the data architecture to support the Integrated Business Process Management (IBPM) framework and related program activities.
• Define Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) requirements to enable seamless data integration across business units.
• Evaluate and select technology stacks, including data warehouses, data lakes, and integration tools, to support the program’s objectives.
• Create data models and schemas to optimize the organization’s ability to capture, store, and analyze data.
• Oversee data migration and integration efforts to unify fragmented systems into a centralized ecosystem.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure the scalability and sustainability of the data infrastructure.
• Monitor the performance of the data platform and recommend improvements based on analytics and program needs.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solutions Architect with a focus on data architecture and governance, ideally within a consulting services firm, and with a strong track record in data platform design.
• Expertise in data modeling, database design, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance standards.
• Experience with business intelligence tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
