Sourcing and Category Management Consultant (Contractor)

Role Responsibility:

We are recruiting for a Sourcing and Category Management Consultant (Contractor) position to deliver on procurement services engagements for Contango. The candidate is expected to drive procurement services projects by delivering process improvements and cost savings through sourcing and category management.

The Candidate must have strong knowledge of the strategic sourcing and category management process and be familiar with running sourcing projects for multiple spend categories like MRO, Logistics, Professional Services, Facilities Management, IT & Telecom Capex, and Marketing etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete assessment of procurement functions to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities.
• Develop pipeline of sourcing projects and create category plan and category analysis.
• Create sourcing strategies for multiple categories, define the spend profile, demand, and quality requirements.
• Conduct industry and market analysis.
• Execute sourcing projects.
• Conduct spend analysis and develop category management process.
• Provide functional expertise in assessment and implementation of e-sourcing and procurement to pay tools.

The role involves frontline delivery where the candidate is expected to independently manage multiple stakeholders with the customers.

Requirements:

The candidate should have 7-10 years of work experience with a minimum 3 years in a procurement consulting role. Candidates who have undertaken large scale procurement transformation projects within their organisations will also be considered. The candidate should have strong data analytics skills and be a go getter with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Preferably CIPS qualified
• Experience of executing procurement transformation projects
• Strong category management process know how and experience of working with suppliers in the UAE and GCC/MENA region
• Experience of successfully managing internal and external stakeholders
• Experience of working with best-in-class e-sourcing and procure to pay tools like Ariba, Coupa, Zycus etc
• Good understanding of the Source to Settle process.

• Identifying and implementing opportunities to deliver savings for clients and drive benefits through smarter/efficient sourcing
• Ability to structure RFPs and develop sourcing strategies

• Experience in understanding contracts and ability in contract drafting, with limited requirement for specialist legal support
