Role Title: Sourcing Specialist

Reports to: Category Manager / Vendor Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for a Sourcing Specialist to manage vendor relationships, ensure the timely delivery of quality products and services, and negotiate contracts to secure the best terms for Tradeling. This role is pivotal in driving the growth of the company by ensuring strong vendor partnerships, optimizing product margins, and maintaining excellent service levels.

• Vendor Selection: Identify and select vendors based on company goals, sub-category expansion, and margin growth. Support Junior Vendor Managers in building a pipeline of new vendors and onboarding them.
• Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms related to margin, rebate, and pricing.
• Performance Monitoring: Assess vendor performance in terms of GMV (Gross Merchandise Value) and Gross Profit, ensuring compliance with company standards and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key vendors to support ongoing collaboration and growth.
• Inventory Management: Ensure timely replenishment and healthy inventory levels, while managing ageing inventory effectively.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to vendor performance, pricing, or delivery.
• Cost Management: Monitor cost negotiations to ensure the highest possible Gross Profit for the company.
• Team Development: Guide and mentor Junior Vendor Managers to help them grow their profiles and take on increased responsibilities.
  
  

Requirements

Hard Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Vendor Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience in sourcing or procurement.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• A solid supplier base in the wholesale and distribution market for home cleaning supplies.
• Brand connections within the relevant category is a plus.
