We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Anesthesia Specialist with strong ICU and LTC experience to join our multidisciplinary critical care team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing complex and high‑acuity cases, including post‑operative critical patients, trauma, multi‑organ failure, and cases requiring coordinated care across multiple specialties.The Specialist will provide advanced perioperative and critical care management, lead airway and sedation strategies for critically ill adults, and collaborate closely with intensivists, surgeons, and LTC clinicians to deliver seamless, patient‑centered treatment plans. The role also contributes to the ongoing enhancement of ICU and LTC anesthesia practices, protocols, and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality perioperative, ICU, and LTC‑related care for critically ill adult patients, including those with complex anesthetic and hemodynamic needs.
- Lead or participate in daily ICU rounds, providing expert guidance on sedation, analgesia, airway strategies, and overall management plans with the multidisciplinary team.
- Interpret and act upon diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory findings to support anesthesia and critical care decision‑making.
- Manage ventilated patients using advanced airway interventions, sedation protocols, ventilatory support strategies, and hemodynamic monitoring techniques.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including airway crises, code blue scenarios, and rapid response activations.
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation aligned with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to ICU and LTC quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and internal audits related to anesthesia and critical care practices.
- Supervise and provide support to junior medical staff, anesthesia technicians, nurses, and allied health professionals across ICU and LTC settings.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients’ families regarding anesthesia considerations, treatment plans, and ongoing care updates.
- Participate in on‑call duties, night shifts, and rotational schedules as required to support ICU, anesthesia, and LTC services.
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Specialist qualification in Anesthesiology, with additional training or substantial experience in Critical Care / ICU medicine.
- Valid professional license or eligibility for licensing in the UAE (DHA / DOH).
- Minimum 3-5 years of post‑specialty experience in anesthesia practice with significant exposure to ICU and Long‑Term Care (LTC) environments.
- Proven competency in ventilator management, advanced airway procedures, sedation protocols, and managing complex perioperative or critical care cases.
