Job Objective
Assist in Business Continuity activities of UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA) including but not limited to Business Continuity Management System development and implementation; Health and Safety (HS) management; and Emergency Response management in compliance with National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) standards, ISO: 45001 Health and Safety requirements and Occupational Safety and Health UAE (OSHAD) framework to provide capability to continue the day to day operations during disruptions and ensure a safe and healthy working environment to all employees..

Job Objective

Key Responsibilities/Duties
- Strategy and Planning
- Assist in the development, implementation, and update of the section related policy, procedures manual, delegation of authority, systems user manuals, and standard forms, and ensure alignment with UAEAA’s overall policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and update of the section’s strategic, budget and procurement, and operational plans, ensuring alignment with the department and sector’s strategy and objectives, and UAEAA’s mission and vision.
- Ensure to meet individual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Operations (with sub-headings)
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Business Continuity Management System including governance framework, policy and procedures, strategy and plans in accordance with NCEMA standards to ensure continuity of operations during disruption and emergencies.
- Assist in conducting business continuity awareness programs and trainings to create awareness, and equip all employees on how to response in case of disruptions.
- Assist in conducting business impact analysis and risk assessment for continuous operation in case of disruption.
- Assisting in conducting testing and exercise of business continuity plan to monitor UAEAA level of preparedness in case of disruption.
- Assist in consolidating the business continuity plan submitted by the organizational units and developing the overall UAEAA business continuity plan.
- Assist in monitoring the performance of business continuity management system to ensure objectives are met.
- Assist in preparing reports on the performance of the business continuity management system and for submission to management for review.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a yearly business continuity audit program to ensure conformance of the organization to ISO 22301: 2019 and NCEMA.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic health and safety reports, statistics plans and presentations related to health and safety performance.
- Assist in conducting health and safety awareness programs and training to ensure that all employees are properly informed about UAEAA health and safety policies and procedures.
- Participate in the investigation and analysis process in determining the root cause of all health and safety non-compliance incidents, near-misses, hazards, and other observations; and assist in preparing the report to be submitted to the Line Manager.
- Assist in the implementation of the emergency response exercises and evacuation drill techniques during emergencies to monitor and observe the level of UAEAA preparedness in case of an emergency.
- Assist in the health and safety inspection and audits as per the plan to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and corrective actions are implemented.
- Liaise and follow up with the relevant internal and external health parties to facilitate and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain the risk management database to ensure accurate information is available.
- Comply with legal requirements such as OSHAD-RF, ISO:45001 health and safety requirements, and other ISOs whenever applicable.
- Assist in the implementation of risk assessments in line with UAEAA health and safety policy and procedures, and implementation of recommended corrective and preventative measures.
- Talent Management and Development
- Ensure completion of required trainings and certification programs to keep current with job requirements and ensure continuous performance improvements.
- Obtain timely performance review assessments for midyear and annual performance review and ensure to meet the set KPIs.
- Keep current with updated information relevant to the role to ensure standard performance level is achieved.
- Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing to build internal capabilities of the team and maximize their effective performance.
- Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in line with the objectives of the Authority and its Emiratization strategy.
- Corporate
- Ensure adherence and compliance with all UAEAA corporate policies, procedures and guidelines (HR, IT, Procurement, Finance, Health and Safety, etc.).
- Prepare section’s related correspondence such as e-mails, memos, and letters to ensure professionalism, completeness and accuracy of information.
- Retain, document, preserve, and archive section’s related physical and electronic records in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Respond any section related queries and provide required support to relevant UAEAA’s organizational units and employees as and when required.
- Utilize relevant technologies used within UAEAA in order to optimize work efficiency.
- Demonstrate compliance with UAEAA’s values, Code of Business Conduct and ethics at all times to support the establishment of a value driven culture within the Authority.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, and quality standards.
- Co-operate in the implementation of the relevant health and safety legislation, policies and procedures, in the performance of duties.
- General
- The level of performance should reflect the academic qualification, type of courses in the field of specialization, employee job level, and the level of productivity.
- The academic and professional certificates required and approved by UAEAA should be acquired within the period specified and based on the employee’s Individual Development Plan.
- Perform the task and responsibilities independently unless an approval or directive was obtained to delegate the task to other employees in case of incapability to perform the tasks and responsibilities.
- Ensure teamwork, collaboration, and dedication in performing duties.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 0 - 3 years of relevant experience.
