About The Role

IT Applications Specialist is responsible for ensuring smooth operation of all resort software systems and ensuring backups are properly carried out and periodically tested. Additional responsibilities include supervising all activities within the IT support team and maintaining required standard of service. In this role you will work in a team of specialists under general guidance of IT Applications Assistant Manager and Manager and deliver applications support across Atlantis The Palm, Atlantis The Royal and Aquaventure Waterpark.

Key Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Communicate status, risks and opportunities to IT Operations leaders
  • Responsible for the Capacity planning
  • Ensure that hotel data is secured and in line with stated standards and best practices
  • Ensure that all backups are taken on time and documented
  • Manage the local process for event management, enhancements and application fixes
  • Ensure regular self-evaluations of IT practices are completed and communicated
  • Manage local implementation projects & testing of applications and hardware upgrades
  • Ensure the hotel adopts and maintains brand standards for guests and business services in relation to IT services and offerings
  • Communicate new or amended procedures to relevant departments/ colleagues in a timely manner, ensuring they have been understood
  • Provide consultancy to better expedite access and better use of information

About The Role

We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity and solid understanding of IT applications and internal processes improvement. Background in complex entertainment or hospitality facility is preferred. You should be able to communicate efficiently inside and outside of the organization and demonstrate problem solving attitude.
