Top Technical Requirements:
- Support Procurement Management in planning and sourcing decisions by conducting thorough assessment and analysis of business needs, supply markets, and commercial risks.
- Provide effective support and advice to various stakeholders in identifying and determining their procurement requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive procurement plans, establish cost parameters, and develop budgets to procure high-quality and cost-efficient supplies to meet organizational needs.
- Undertake complex analysis and price comparisons of multiple quotes/bids to source, evaluate, and select the most valuable supplies and suppliers.
- Lead the formulation, negotiation, and award of procurement contracts, ensuring effective contract management, timely reviews, and renewals.
- Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers to optimize cost reduction opportunities and enhance service efficiency.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure contract deliverables are met according to expected quality and standards, while regularly updating the supplier database.
- Verify and authorize supplier invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accurate data preparation and collation of support documentation for cost recharge purposes.
- Implement and manage SAP system to maintain high-quality and accurate records of purchases, shipments, inventory, and supply of goods.
- Manage inventories to ensure efficient flow of supplies and minimize stock shortages or excesses.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly procurement status reports to key stakeholders, highlighting progress and challenges.
- Allocate purchase requisitions to Procurement Officers and supervise their performance to ensure timely and effective procurement processes.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance value and reduce costs in the procurement process.
- Act with Integrity - Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques to ensure ethical and transparent practices are followed in all procurement activities.
- Planning and Organizing - Utilize knowledge of procurement ERP systems (SAP) to effectively plan, organize, and execute procurement processes and activities.
- Stakeholder Focus - Utilize negotiation skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and ensure their needs and requirements are considered in procurement decisions.
- Building and Managing Relations - Demonstrate commercial awareness to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering partnerships that drive value and innovation.
- Analytical Skills - Apply analytical skills to evaluate procurement data, market trends, and supplier performance, enabling informed decision-making and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and supplier management..
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business administration / Finance & Accounts / Supply Chain Management / Procurement and Logistics.
- Preferred: Professional CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) qualification or equivalent
- Familiarity with procurement ERP systems such as SAP.
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics process.
- Proficiency in sourcing and procurement strategies and techniques.
