Specialist - Special Assignments

Role Overview

Provides operational support for special assignments and financial reporting projects, assisting in data analysis, report preparation, and ensuring compliance with financial standards. Works under the direction of the Senior Manager to deliver accurate and timely outputs that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the Special Assignments reporting strategy in alignment with the department's strategy, identifying relevant strategic goals and performance indicators.
• Implement policies and procedures for special project reporting and ensure their optimal application in daily operations.
• Develop methodologies, systems, and reporting templates for special projects to ensure accurate financial information and data are produced.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports for special projects and assignments.
• Ensure compliance with international and local accounting and financial standards.
• Provide periodic and detailed reports to management on the performance of special assignments and projects.
• Coordinate with the finance and accounting teams to compile and analyze data.
• Evaluate financial processes for special projects and assignments and suggest improvements.
• Assist in reviewing budgets and financial forecasts for special projects.
• Ensure the accuracy and validity of financial data presented to senior management.
• Cooperate with various teams to ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting.
• Support financial reviews and internal and external audits.
• Monitor financial and accounting developments and ensure policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
• Coordinate with relevant organizational units to obtain the necessary financial data to prepare and prepare the required special project reports.
• Provide the necessary support to the direct manager, and perform any other related tasks as requested.

Experience And Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar field relevant to the job duties with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• A master's degree in business administration, with a specialization in finance, is preferred.
• A specialized certification such as CA, CPA, CFA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred.
• Ability to prepare special project reports. This includes experience in designing customized reports and possessing strong communication skills with partners.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and prepare reports for management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present financial information to both specialized and non-specialized partners.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, accounting, and data analysis software such as Excel.
• Experience with financial systems and software (e.g., Oracle Financials, Hyperion, and BI) is preferred.
