Position Title: Senior Accountant

Job Objective

  • To handle day to day accounting activities to meet organization’s accounting policy and procedure in compliance with IFRS & IAS requirements and utilize financial systems to enhance the management reporting

Description

 KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Fixed Asset

  • Issuance of fixed assets codes and advise to Inventory controller/ procurement for entry in SAP
  • Ensure correct booking of the assets and proper depreciation calculation
  • Recording of ROU assets and its amortization/depreciation

Account Payable

  • Checking and posting of accounts payable invoices in the books.
  • Monitor account payable and prepare reconciliation of statement of accounts for vendors and follow-ups for invoicing and approval of concerned department.
  • Coordination with end users for SAP Projects Definitions / WBS element and GL code for raising purchase requisitions  Handling petty cash affairs

Vendor Payments

  • Prepare the payment plan and share with GM for approval
  • Process payment batches in SAP and ensure in time payment transfer to the business partners.

Account Receivable

  • Coordinating with sales team for issuance of invoices /credit notes
  • Monitor account receivables. Sending statement of accounts and follow-up for payment.
  • Updating AR and Collection Report on Weekly bases and meeting with Sales Team on Bimonthly bases for AR Ageing and analysis

General Accounting

  • Pass accruals and other journal entries in the books of accounts
  • Ensure correct GL codes and proper accounting entries for all the financial transactions of the company

Payroll Support

  • Checking of employees claims and overtime
  • Coordination with HO for employees deduction / GL Balances and other reconciliations

Balance Sheet Recs

  • Follow up with the team to ensure that all Balance Sheet recs are completed
  • Review Balance Sheet recs & ensure that balances tie to the trial balance on a monthly basis

Monthly Reporting

  • Updating TSE plants report on bimonthly bases
  • Month end reporting for management and HO following the process.
  • Ensure invoicing to Tabreed as per loads provided by Tabreed
  • Reconciliation of bank statements
  • Posting of back charge invoices received from Tabreed,
  • Generating month end reports (Inc. Internal MIS Report, Tabreed Reporting Pack, Consolidated Reporting Pack, AR
  • Discussion with management and HO explaining the details of the reports and analysis

External Audit

  • Liaise and provide external auditors with relevant financial information in order to complete the external audit in time.
  • Coordination with Internal auditors for internal audit assignments

VAT Return

  • Ensure booking of all the financial transactions as per VAT laws of UAE
  • Preparation VAT Return and in time submission to HO
  • Ensure maintenance of proper VAT record and provide supporting documents to the concerned as and when required.

Budgets And Forecasts

  • Liaise with internal (Cooltech Departments) and external (Group companies) to collect all information required to prepare budget and forecasts.
  • Preparation and update of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in time .

Business Support

  • Coordination with Logistics (issuance of Asset Codes, WBS elements, GL Codes, Inventory Reports, Material transportation cost, Warehousing reports and analysis, etc).
  • Coordination with sales and procurement for registration and modification of customers and vendors (manually as well as in SAP/Ariba).
  • Coordination with internal teams and HO for smooth flow of financial transactions.

Minimum Qualifications

 JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting or Commerce. Prefer to have certified qualifications (CPA, ACCA, …)

Minimum Experience

  • 4 years of post-qualification experience or 5 - 10 years of overall experience in a similar role primarily in the Finance function in a large or complex organization.
