About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steel Fixer to join our dynamic construction team in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. As a Steel Fixer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity of our construction projects by accurately placing and securing steel reinforcements.

• Read and interpret building plans, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine steel reinforcement requirements
• Set out work areas and calculate material needs for each project
• Cut, bend, and shape steel bars and mesh using hand and power tools
• Position and secure steel bars, mesh, and other reinforcement materials in concrete forms
• Tie and weld reinforcing bars to create sturdy frameworks for concrete structures
• Install spacers and supports to maintain proper positioning of reinforcements
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper integration of steel reinforcements with other building components
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

What do we need from you

• High School diploma, ITI certification, or relevant Technical Diploma in construction
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Steel Fixer
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting building plans and technical drawings
• Expertise in using hand and power tools for cutting, bending, and shaping steel
• In-depth knowledge of various types of steel reinforcements and their applications
• Welding skills and familiarity with different welding techniques
• Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and practices
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials
• Comfort working at heights and in various weather conditions
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines
• Familiarity with local building codes and standards in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates
• Valid work permit for the United Arab Emirates
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
