STOREKEEPER

Job Description

Day- to-day operations:

Assist store incharge in all activities involved with Stores as required.

Maintain record of distribution and receipt of store items.

Order and maintain inventory of all consumables.

Check and maintain tools in good condition.

Regular check of lifting equipment and liaise with Marine Department for regular tests of Lifting Tools.

Performing work to the standard expected.

Maintain good working relationship with workers, appointed foreman, supervisors and management.

Ensure materials are of required standard prior to use, reporting damages when required.

Attend training for activity required by the department.

Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.

Technical Competencies

Knowledge of computerized stock control methods & warehouse procedures.

Fair Knowledge of commonly used tools in shipbuilding.

Basic computer knowledge.

High school Certificate or Equivalent

Apprentice training

4 years of experience in Store Keeping
