Strategic Material Planner

Synopsis

To support Etihad Engineering Supply Chain department to achieve highest possible service level at lowest total cost. Preventing delays and cancellation by adopting cost-effective inventory provisioning. Responsible for adequate current asset inventory holding for all customers and to effectively manage spares for optimum utilization and effectively record and reports.

Accountabilities

• Forecasting & Demand Planning: Develop and maintain accurate material forecasts using historical data, market trends, and maintenance schedules, translate MPD/RSPL into actionable demand plans.
• Inventory Strategy & Monitoring: Define and manage stocking parameters (Min/Max, ROP, safety stock), track inventory levels and turns and ensure material availability for all customers.
• Reorder & Supply Management: Maintain ERP-based reorder points to balance service levels with cost efficiency and effectively manage long-lead items.
• Performance Reporting & Analytics: Build dashboards and trend reports to monitor KPIs such as availability, AOG incidents, stock-outs, and working capital, provide actionable insights for decision-makers.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement, and Logistics to align material readiness with maintenance plans and operational needs.
• Problem Solving & Strategic Insights: Analyse supply chain issues using data mining and advanced analytics, deliver recommendations for cost reduction, improved service levels, and operational efficiency.
• Project Management & Process Improvement: Lead and document inventory optimization, planning accuracy, and supply chain improvement projects, standardize processes and drive recurring cost-saving initiatives.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Aviation, Supply Chain, or related technical field, with 5+ years of experience in aviation, material planning or inventory management (Airline/MRO preferred).
• Proficient in MRO systems (e.g., AMOS, CMRO) and advanced in Excel, Power BI, and SQL and Python is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills with a continuous improvement mindset
• Familiar with technical documentation such as AMM, IPC, CMM, MPD, and RSPLs
• Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator, structured, detail-oriented, and results-driven
