Your Role – International, Challenging, and Future-Oriented

Join a dynamic team working at the forefront of IoT, Cybersecurity, and Energy Automation technologies. In this role, you'll be responsible for commissioning and implementing SCMS (Substation Control and Monitoring Systems) and Cybersecurity solutions across the Middle East. This is your opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and test Bay Control Units (BCUs), RTUs/PLCs, and SCMS systems, ensuring seamless integration with energy automation processes.
• Design and develop new application solutions using communication protocols like IEC61850, Modbus, Profibus, IEC 101, IEC 104, etc.
• Design, configure, and commission cybersecurity solutions for Substation Automation systems, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
• Act as a primary interface with customers, providing troubleshooting and commissioning support for SCMS systems.
• Assist in developing technical proposals, including bills of materials, clarifying technical requirements, and offering solutions to meet customer needs.
• Conduct training sessions on SCMS systems, ensuring customers are well-equipped to manage and operate the technology.
• Lead the commissioning of SCMS for retrofit applications and ensure proper system configuration and testing.
• Frequent travel to job sites (up to 75% of your time), collaborating with customers and vendors in the UAE and beyond.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills – Digital And Solid

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent qualification from a reputable university.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, particularly with substation network topology design (Ring/Star with redundancy protocols like RSTP, PRP, HSR).
• Technical Expertise:
• Practical knowledge in IEC61850 network design and SCADA/HMI parameterization.
• Experience with Substation Automation Cybersecurity implementation.
• Expertise in configuring communication protocols such as IEC61850, IEC 101, IEC 104.
• Hands-on experience with configuring BCUs, HMIs, gateways, and integrating numerical devices to SCMS/RTU systems.
• Cybersecurity Knowledge:
• Experience with Next-Gen Firewalls, IDS, Syslog Servers, RBAC, and System Hardening.
• Understanding of IEC 62443 and IEC 62351 cybersecurity standards.
• Project Experience:
• Proven experience in leading and participating in FAT/SAT/commissioning activities for large-scale projects.
• Strong adaptability, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills in business English. Experience working in multicultural environments is a plus.
  

Preferred (Not Mandatory, But a Plus):

Candidates with experience in the following areas will be given extra consideration:

• Siemens relay/automation products and associated software.
• Communication Network Technologies (Design, Configuration, Troubleshooting).
• Familiarity with Utility and O&G sector approvals in the UAE, Oman, and Bahrain.
• Knowledge of ANSI and IEC standards.
• Experience with SICAM PAS, SICAM SCC/WinCC, SICAM A8000 RTU, SICAM 230 SCADA, etc.
• Proficiency in C or VB Programming Languages.
• Expertise in Logic Building (CAEx, ST, CFC).
