About The Job

The Supervisor of Condition Monitoring is responsible for overseeing the implementation and execution of condition monitoring programs within the organization.

This role involves managing a team of condition monitoring technicians and collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership:
    • Supervise and lead a team of condition monitoring technicians and analysts.
    • Foster a collaborative and safety-focused environment.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities.
  • Condition Monitoring Programs:
    • Develop and implement condition monitoring strategies and procedures to increase equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
    • Utilize various condition monitoring techniques, including vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil analysis.
    • Establish baseline measurements and thresholds for equipment performance analysis.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze data collected from monitoring activities and provide actionable insights to relevant stakeholders.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on equipment conditions, maintenance needs, and performance metrics.
    • Monitor trends and provide recommendations for maintenance and improvement actions.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities based on condition monitoring findings.
    • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement solutions for identified issues.
    • Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in monitoring processes and technologies.
    • Stay current with industry standards and advancements in condition monitoring technologies.
    • Participate in training programs and seminars to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure that all condition monitoring activities adhere to company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the condition monitoring team.
Minimum Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of [X] years of experience in condition monitoring, reliability engineering, or predictive maintenance, with at least [Y] years in a supervisory role.
    • Proficiency in condition monitoring tools and techniques.
  • Certifications:
    • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Vibration Analyst Certification, Thermography Certification) are a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a dynamic environment.
    • Proficiency in data analysis software and condition monitoring tools.
