Key Responsibilities:

• Provide supervision to all assigned Machinist(s); Technician(s), Sheet Metal; Technician(s), CNC Operator Sheet Metal and Technician(s), CNC Operator in support of the accomplishment of the maintenance mission.
• Examine detailed engineering drawings and specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements.
• Schedule all vehicle machining works, preparing machine loading plans, allocating manpower, ensuring that completed fabricated and assembled parts are immediately handed over to the next part of the process, and monitoring and controlling material movement.
• Responsible for overseeing and completing machining related documentation such as tasks accomplished, direct labor hours consumed, vehicle specific information, material request forms, etc.
• Develop and monitor the training of all assigned employees on a variety of fabrication tasks to ensure work is executed as planned.
• Supervise the completion of maintenance-related documentation such as work orders, repair parts request forms, and technical data sheets.
• Comply with and enforce all safety, housekeeping and environmental directives.
• Monitor and control all vehicle machining operations and ensure they are accomplished in accordance with all technical manuals, KPIs, OEM specifications and customer requirements.
• Ensure all issued tools, test equipment and high-value property is maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and safeguarded.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company information.
• Perform other duties as directed.
  
  

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Ten years of equivalent experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of three years of experience in precision machining is required; in a manufacturing environment or automotive industry is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory position is required.
• Formal machinist and/or metal fabrication training using a variety of industrial machining equipment is required.
• Previous automotive industry experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and ISO methodologies, practices and processes in a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) setting is an advantage.
• The ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings/schematics is required.
• The ability to read and use conventional and digital precision measuring instruments and tools is required.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software is required; experience with SAP is preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
• Have, or be able to obtain a valid UAE driver’s license.
