Your New Role

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to embark on a career in supply chain management? Join our dynamic team as a Supply Chain Administrator, where you'll play a crucial role in verifying, maintaining, and managing records on incoming and outgoing shipments. This role involves preparing items for shipment, coordinating transportation, and ensuring accuracy in all documentation.

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Using standard office software to carry out basic formatting on letters, memoranda and routine reports
• Maintaining and retrieving accurate files and records from company filing systems
• Communication with external & internal stakeholders
• Following a mandatory procedure to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory codes and internal codes of conduct
• Examining shipment contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy
• Preparing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials
• Conferring & corresponding with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications
• Determining shipping methods, routes or rates for materials to be shipped
• Comparing shipping routes or methods to determine which have the least environmental impact
• Recording shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes
• Packing, sealing, labelling or affixing postage to prepare materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools or postage meter
• Requisitioning and stores shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
• Computing amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list
  
  

Essential Criteria

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

• Excellent attention to detail
• Educated to secondary / intermediate level, with 5 or more GCSE or equivalent grades
• Good time management skills
  
  

Desirable

• Previous experience in similar role will be advantages
