Key Responsibilities:

To provide visibility and transparency in inbound and outbound shipments, to carry out warehouse administrative responsibilities, to coordinate between operations and client services as well as couriers and other agents.

• Execute operations' workflow and job responsibilities within the warehouse to ensure effective management of the receipt, storage, picking, packing, loading, and shipping of products to customers.
• Be the bridge between team member and supervisor.
• Maintains records of inventory and location for production control and cost control.
• Conduct inventory control as planned through cyclical stock counts to maintain stock integrity and through this, to ensure that financial stock takes, and stock counts are conducted according to client contracts and Maersk cyclical requirements. This would ensure that stock integrity is maintained in line with WMS.
• Generates pick sheets for outbound shipments; ensures that the correct items are picked and packed as per customer requirements and category of goods.
• Generates ASN for inbound shipments and ensures the items are verified and put away to the correct locations.
• Performs ABC analysis on a quarterly basis, to analyze the trend for fast moving items .
• Keenly monitors and maintains daily shift task report and report the same to line manager /supervisor.
• Updates the daily operational dash boards and communicate daily performance.
• On Job training and development of direct reports for succession planning.
• Manages and troubleshoot problems with WMS to ensure the operations in distribution centers flow continuously and respond to any errors accordingly and in time.
• Enforce Security and Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards & requirements in the distribution center are complied with.
• Ensure temperature requirements for assigned areas are managed and measured.
• Elevate potential problems and opportunities for improvement to Supervisor/Manager.
• Ensures that expected staff productivity standards are met and maintained within the agreed KPI's.
• Ensures that employees are guided, supported and trained daily; organizes structured on the job trainings.
• Conducts daily Toolbox meetings to train the staff on good warehouse practices.
  
  

The ideal candidate will have:

• Graduate in any discipline/ Diploma or Certificate holder.
• minimum of 1 to 3 years in an admin or inventory control environment, preferably within Logistics.
• Knowledge of WMS.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is a must.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer literate with competent skills in MS Office and other technical software.
• Efficiency and accountability.
• Ability to focus and bring tasks to completion.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to develop and sustain good working relationships and networking.
• Ability to work independently and quickly to meet aggressive deadlines.
