Job Description PURPOSE: To provide guidance to a team of Rotating Equipment Engineers within Mechanical Discipline on all Design, Detailed Engineering and Technical matters. Together with Management capabilities, technical expertise in Rotating Equipment is mandatory for this position as it involves providing high level of consultancy and expertise to the team. These role holders can be assigned as Lead Engineer for complex and large projects leading and guiding a team of Rotating Equipment Engineers for the project. The TA may also be seconded to work as Project Engineering Manager based on the size and complexity of the project. The focus, in this case, will shift from one of deep discipline knowledge to that of coordinating the various engineering disciplines involved in assigned projects. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical authority / decision maker for the Rotating Equipment related matters.

To Safeguard the Technical Integrity and Quality of Services provided by Rotating Equipment Engineers.

To raise Quality awareness within Rotating Equipment team and ensure compliance with Engineering Manuals/Procedures.

To ensure Implementation of relevant Best Engineering Practice/ Lessons Learnt and drive for continuous improvements within Rotating Equipment team.

To ensure Compliance with Quality Management procedures and technical requirement objective in all aspects of the Engineering work Performed by Rotating Equipment team.

Checks all project drawings, documentation, calculations, Material Requisitions, technical evaluations, and manpower estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Proposes execution strategy for engineering scope and project associated tasks.

Supports Procurement activities / Vendor pre-qualifications

Supports Engineering Manager in Resource management of Rotating Equipment Engineers.

Supports Engineering Manager on Quality systems, and Development & updating of procedures

Supports Engineering Manager on Performance Re

Skills Required MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: -

B.E /B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering-

15 years’ Engineering experience in the Oil and Gas industry; covering Concept, FEED and EPC of all relevant Rotating Equipment

Thorough Technical knowledge of all relevant Rotating Equipment used in Oil and Gas Industry.

Proven supervisory track record

Planning and organising skills.

Influencing and leadership skills.

Thorough understanding of specific Engineering disciplines: o Process o Instrumentation and control o Piping o Electrical

Knowledge of Engineering software associated with rotating equipment sizing and office & planning tools.

Good command of written and spoken English.

Good technical knowledge and skills covering: o Hydraulic processes and equipment, rotodynamic and positive displacement pumps with their associated equipment (seals, drivers, controls). o Thermodynamic processes, gas compression and conditioning, rotodynamic and positive displacement compressors and associated equipment (drivers, seals, controls). o Stress, Strain, and mechanical vibration analysis on oil & gas equipment. o Lifting equipment used in oil & gas industry. o Rotating Equipment Drivers and their characteristics. o Good knowledge of upstream oil & gas applied processes, including separation, gas conditioning, water treatment… etc. o Good knowledge of equipment selection and integration.

Good Communication skills.

Teamwork oriented and motivated.

Proven skills in monitoring project progress and advise on strategies required to be adopted in different project phase.

Capable of identifying and addressing project interfaces.
