Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Director to oversee the technical aspects of our production processes, from initial capture through to final implementation and integration. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless execution of projects, advising clients on best practices, and providing technical support across various platforms and devices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of production workflows and the technical expertise to troubleshoot and optimize processes.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Oversight:
• Lead the technical aspects of production, ensuring all stages from capture to implementation and integration are executed flawlessly.
• Collaborate with creative and technical teams to ensure that all technical requirements are met and that the production aligns with the project's vision.
• Client Advisory:
• Advise customers and clients on best practices, technical solutions, and approaches to optimize their projects.
• Provide expert guidance on how to achieve the desired technical outcomes while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
• Troubleshoot issues across different platforms and devices, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure project continuity.
• Work closely with the development team for deeper technical support when complex issues arise.
• Technical Support for Production:
• Support the processing of technical aspects of projects, including any post-production work that may be required.
• Assist with additional project-related tasks on the technical side, ensuring that all technical elements are in place and functioning correctly.
• Stage Management (if Required):
• Serve as a stage manager during production or shoots, leveraging your technical expertise to ensure smooth operations.
• Coordinate with various departments to manage technical resources and ensure that production schedules are adhered to.
  
  

Qualifications

• Technical Expertise:
• Extensive experience overseeing the technical side of production processes, including capture, post-production, and integration.
• Strong knowledge of various platforms, devices, and tools used in production, with the ability to troubleshoot and provide solutions effectively.
• Industry Experience:
• 7+ years of experience in a technical director or similar role within the production industry.
• Experience in managing complex technical projects, including live shoots, post-production, and client-facing advisory roles.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and creative teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with the client platform or similar tools is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in stage management or a related role within a production environment.
