WSP Middle East is looking for a dynamic Technical Director- Landscape to us in Dubai, UAE.

You will play a key role in driving the technical excellence of landscape projects, ensuring high standards of design, execution, and sustainability, while also contributing to business development, P&L and client management.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Provide strategic leadership for the technical landscape service line, including full P&L accountability, while actively identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities across the Middle East market to drive growth and enhance the service offering.
• Work from both existing and new clients focused on building revenue and gaining market share.
• Formulate and execute innovative landscape strategies that prioritize sustainability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal, while developing tailored solutions for local and international clients across diverse sectors to enhance outdoor environments.
• Prepare proposals and design presentations, taking the lead in client meetings to showcase landscape solutions.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow the landscape discipline portfolio across diverse sectors.
• Oversee the conceptualization, design, and implementation of landscape projects, providing technical oversight to ensure they meet both functional and aesthetic requirements while aligning with client needs.
• Lead design efforts, including setting design direction and engaging with clients for feedback and alignment
• Advocate for continuous professional development within the technical team, identifying learning opportunities, tools, and resources.
• Evaluate potential technical challenges and risks in projects, ensuring they are addressed proactively.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and methods, integrating them where appropriate to enhance project outcomes.
• Recruit and build the technical landscape team, leveraging the resource center model.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Chartered status or equivalent professional certification (e.g., RIBA, ASLA, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in architectural design and technical roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven experience in managing and delivering complex projects from conception to completion.
• Strong technical knowledge of landscape design principles, sustainability practices, and construction methods.
• Experience in business development, including proposal writing and client presentations.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
