WSP Middle East is seeking a Technical Translator with an engineering background_ Emirati national to support our Work Winning Team.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of engineering terminology and concepts, along with exceptional language skills in both English and Arabic. Expertise in translating technical documents and communications from Arabic to English is essential.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Translate engineering documents, proposals, and communications from Arabic to English accurately and clearly.
• Assist the bidding and tendering team by ensuring technical content is effectively communicated and aligned with project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure technical terms and concepts are correctly translated and understood
• Accurately translate technical documents, reports, specifications, and other materials from Arabic to English and vice versa, ensuring precision and clarity in engineering terminology.
• Create and maintain a glossary of engineering terms to ensure consistent and accurate translation across all documents.
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand project requirements and ensure translations meet technical standards and project needs.
• Quality Assurance: Review and proofread translations to ensure they are error-free and align with the intended meaning and technical accuracy.
• Communication Facilitation: Enable clear communication between English and Arabic-speaking stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and project managers.
• Document Management: Organize and manage translated documents efficiently, ensuring easy retrieval and accurate record-keeping.
  
  

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related field).
• Proven experience in Technical translation, especially within technical or engineering contexts. Recent graduates with relevant internship experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong proficiency in both English and Arabic with the ability to translate complex technical content accurately.
• Understanding of engineering terminology and concepts.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in translation software and tools is an advantage.
• Language: Native Arabic speaker with excellent command of English.
