Job Brief:

The Tendering & Proposal Engineer will be responsible for preparing bid documents, including quotations, cost estimates, project schedules, and submission processes. This role reports directly to the Tendering & Proposals Manager and involves close collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver competitive bids and secure projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Bid Formation: Develop comprehensive bid documents, ensuring all client requirements are met and submissions are completed within deadlines.
• Pricing Estimation: Accurately estimate project costs, including material, labour, equipment, and other associated costs; develop competitive pricing strategies.
• Technical Evaluation Support: Collaborate with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and provide input on technical evaluations.
• Document Preparation: Compile and prepare all necessary documents for tender submission, ensuring compliance with client specifications and company standards.
• Coordination & Communication: Liaise with internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Finance) to gather information for bid submissions; present and communicate bid concepts to internal stakeholders.
• Client Interaction: Engage with clients during the tendering process to clarify requirements, address queries, and adjust bids as needed.
• Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform pricing strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the success of bids and proposals, implementing lessons learned to improve future performance.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the heavy lift & transport industry, with at least 2 years in a proposals/tender engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; certifications in tendering, estimating, or project management are a plus.
• Strong understanding of heavy lift & transport operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic or additional languages is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
