Role Purpose
We are looking for a Test Facility Team Lead with strong skills in fabricating, assembling, and repairing, to oversee our technical team and ensure smooth operations. The role requires proficiency with CNC machines, welding equipment, and collaboration with engineers, along with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the aerospace industry.

The role requires proficiency with CNC machines, welding equipment, and collaboration with engineers, along with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in the aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Tools And Skills Required
- Proficiency in using CNC machines, lathes, and welding equipment.
- Experience with various welding methods (e.g., TIG, MIG) and brazing.
- Strong all-round skills in fabricating, assembling, and repairing.
- Work closely with engineers to determine specifications and requirements for technical tasks.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve mechanical or technical issues.
- Collaborate with the Fuel and Engine Fluid Technician, Installation Technician, and Instrumentation Technician.
- Lead the technical team effectively, ensuring smooth operations and task completion.
- Maintain accurate records of all technical work performed.
- Regularly update the Test Facility Manager on the status of technical jobs, flagging any concerns or special requirements.
Education
- Technical Diploma in Engineering or related discipline
- At least 5 to 7 years of related experience, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Proven experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with manual and CNC machines.
- Skilled in machining, welding, and metalwork.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and precision in work.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Knowledge of workshop safety procedures and use of PPE.
- Forklift or equipment-handling certifications (optional but beneficial).
