Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in purchasing tickets, making reservations, and processing cancellations or modifications.
- Provide information on ticket prices, schedules, routes, policies, and promotions.
- Operate ticketing systems and process transactions accurately.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods, ensuring proper billing and reconciliation.
- Print and distribute tickets, boarding passes, or travel documents as required.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding ticket availability, seat assignments, and special requests.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and travel guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized ticketing counter area.
- Assist in preparing daily sales reports and transaction records.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality, tourism, or customer service is a plus.
- Previous experience in ticketing, travel agencies, airlines, or public transportation is preferred.
- Proficiency in using ticketing software, reservation systems, and point-of-sale (POS) machines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accuracy in financial records.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle peak-hour rush.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Front-desk/counter-based role in airports, bus stations, train stations, theaters, or event venues.
- Requires prolonged standing and interaction with customers.
- May involve working in a high-pressure environment during peak hours.
