About the Role

New Era Technology is seeking an experienced Senior UI/UX Lead to support a critical ADPF onsite engagement in Abu Dhabi. This is a full-time contract role for a design leader who can drive user-centered design strategies, mentor design teams, and deliver intuitive, high-quality digital experiences for web and mobile platforms.

The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on UI/UX expertise, design leadership, and the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional and client stakeholders in an onsite environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership

• Define, implement, and maintain UI/UX design standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of UI/UX designers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and design excellence.
• Establish and manage design systems to ensure consistency across platforms.
  
  

User-Centered Design

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to gather insights.
• Translate user needs and business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Design seamless user experiences for web and mobile applications.
  
  

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with product managers, developers, business teams, and clients to align design solutions with business objectives.
• Clearly communicate design concepts, rationale, and user flows to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Act as the primary design point of contact for onsite client interactions.
  
  

Innovation & Trends

• Stay current with UI/UX design trends, emerging technologies, and tools.
• Proactively introduce innovative ideas to enhance usability and overall user experience.
  
  

Quality Assurance

• Ensure design consistency, usability, and visual quality across all digital touchpoints.
• Oversee design implementation during development and provide ongoing guidance to development teams.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to approved standards.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
• 6+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Mandatory Arabic language proficiency (spoken and written).
• Strong proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
• Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and design systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• A strong portfolio showcasing successful UI/UX projects across web and mobile platforms.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments.
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enable effective collaboration with developers.
• Familiarity with analytics and usability tools to measure and improve user engagement.
