Job Purpose

  • Lead and execute the Talent Management and Learning & Development Strategy for ALDAR
  • Design and Implement company career management and succession planning strategies
  • Execute coaching and mentoring framework for key talent
  • Implementation of digital solutions to support the delivery and reporting on training metrics


Roles And Responsibilities

Strategies (Across the Group)

  • Set the learning and development strategy across the board to include CDPs, Training Need Analysis and Succession planning.


Development CDP framework

  • Design and develop talent management programs for UAE Nationals to support the Emiratization strategy.
  • Design differentiated talent offerings that cater to end to end employee life cycle.
  • Design coaching and mentorship framework.
  • Establish skills-based taxonomy across Aldar Group


Training aspects (Assigned Entity)

  • Plan and deliver new employee induction and onboarding aligned with global best practice.
  • Work with N-1 and N-2 to identify Divisional and individual level of Leadership, technical, and behavioral training requirements.
  • Identify the organization’s need for training by partnering with the business and link the outcomes from performance management.
  • Propose, manage, and monitor the annual training budget to align with planned initiatives, foster cost-effective internal training for high ROI, and ensure compliance with budget guidelines.


Talent Management (Assigned Entity)

  • Ensure roll-out of CDP’s and talent initiatives as per the yearly L&D plan
  • Implement the coaching and mentoring strategies to address specified development needs


plan progress of career path through communication with the Business stakeholders.

  • Work closely with Performance Management team on the development and rollout of PIP’s
  • Assess the capability of employees due for promotion's as per the CDP through assessment center to ensure unbiased results, and alignment to Aldar core values.


Succession Planning

  • Identify critical positions and successors as per the policy guidelines.
  • Assess potential successors through different assessment tools including assessment centers, identify knowledge, skills & abilities’ gaps along with the behavioral competencies required.
  • Ensure implementation of the succession planning framework and track development outputs, utilising 70/20/10 principle.
  • Assess the readiness of potential successors periodically, amend the develop plan if needed.


Related Years of Experience:

  • Min of 10+ years of experience in senior training and development position within a leading regional organization.
  • Min of 2+ years of managerial experience heading an L&D department for a company with at least 400 employees.


Field Of Experience:

  • Learning and Development, preferably private sector / real estate or construction.


Technical/Interpersonal Skills:

  • Track record in implementing Learning and Development strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in tailoring and implementing CDPs for at least 100+ employees.
  • Successfully tailored, developed, implemented and monitored succession planning framework for more than 20 ciritical positions.
  • Existing relationships with training providers in Abu Dhabi and Dubai
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written) to effectively engage across the different layers of the organization.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Counselling, Coaching & Mentoring skills


Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or human resources.
  • CIPD, SPHR, coaching certification, Level A & B preferred.
