VP , Business Development Financial Institutions

At Fiserv, we are looking for a VP, Business Development Financial Institutions to establish and grow relationships with prospective clients in Saudi Arabia and the broader GCC region.

What a successful VP, Business Development Financial Institutions will do You will be the primary commercial and strategic point of contact for financial institutions in Saudi Arabia, building meaningful relationships at multiple levels (executive, technology, operations, compliance and finance). You will keep prospects informed about offerings from Fiserv and global payment innovation trends, identify new opportunities, and drive those opportunities through to commercial close.

What you will do?

  • Develop a strong pipeline of new opportunities with Saudi financial institutions (card issuers and merchant acquirers) to offer Fiserv products and solutions, with emphasis on issuer and acquirer processing solutions.
  • Lead business and technology presentations, RFx responses and solution demonstrations tailored to the Saudi market.
  • Work cross-functionally within Fiserv to configure competitive technical and commercial proposals that meet local regulatory and client requirements.
  • Lead commercial and contract negotiations from opportunity qualification through to signing, engaging senior internal and client stakeholders as needed.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with local and regional influencers in the payments ecosystem, including banks, Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) contacts, payment networks (e.g., mada), bill payment and clearing systems, POS and terminal vendors, fintechs and system integrators.
  • Monitor Saudi and regional payments market trends, regulatory developments and competitive activity to advise internal teams and prospects on market fit and go-to-market strategy.
  • Ensure proposals reflect local compliance, data residency and security expectations, and coordinate with legal, compliance and delivery teams to align on risk and implementation plans.
  • Represent Fiserv at local industry events and engage in targeted business development activities across Saudi Arabia and the GCC as required.

What you will need to have?

  • Extensive experience in sales, business development or product roles within the financial services or payments industry, with demonstrated success selling to issuers and/or acquirers or to technology vendors.
  • Proven experience operating in the Saudi market and/or wider GCC payments ecosystem, with established relationships across banks, schemes and payments partners preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience leading end-to-end sales cycles, including RFx processes and complex contract negotiations.
  • Customer-centric approach with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage senior stakeholders and cross-functional internal teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, travel within Saudi Arabia and the region as required, and to collaborate effectively across global teams.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office tools.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of SAMA regulations, mada, SADAD and other Saudi payment infrastructure and compliance requirements.
  • Prior experience with issuing and acquiring processing platforms and integrations.
  • Experience working with consulting firms, systems integrators and local implementation partners in the region.
