VP Destination Management (UAE & Gulf Region) - Arabian Adventures

Job Purpose

As a VP Arabian Adventures, you will lead and direct the Destination Management (DM) function in the UAE and the Gulf Region. You will identify, develop, and drive the long term strategic plan and enable the AA's brands and lines of business (Arabian Adventures, priohub) to achieve targets for revenue growth, profitability and growth in market share.

You will explore and exploit opportunities for product development and business growth, while working to actively promote the destination of the UAE and Gulf Region and represent the business in high level negotiations, evaluating opportunities in line with dnata Travel strategy.

In this role you will be accountable for:

• Strategic Planning & Business Growth – Drive the long-term strategic plan for the UAE and Gulf Region, ensuring alignment with dnata Travel’s global strategy and joint ventures while achieving business growth and profitability targets.
• Market Expansion & Industry Relations – Establish and manage high-level networks within government, tourism sectors, suppliers, and travel professionals to position the UAE and Gulf region as a leading destination.
• Revenue & Financial Performance – Direct accountability for revenue targets, profitability, and cost management across Arabian Adventures, priohub, and other portfolios, leveraging strategic purchasing and budgeting efficiencies.
• Sales & Product Strategy – Develop an annual Sales Plan aligned with dnata Travel’s budget, identifying new and growth clients by source market. Oversee product differentiation, pricing governance, and contracting strategies.
• Operational & Technological Excellence – Optimize the Destination Management organizational structure, define performance objectives, and align the business technology roadmap to support strategic goals in collaboration with IT.
• Leadership & Performance Culture – Champion a culture of open communication, collaboration, accountability, and talent development within the dnata Travel Management Team, ensuring clear direction and performance management.
• Industry Representation & Governance – Represent dnata Travel Destination Management at key stakeholder forums, trade events, and government initiatives, ensuring adherence to governance standards while driving market presence.

To be considered for this role you must meet the below requirements:

Qualifications: Degree or Honours (12 + 3 or equivalent)

Experience

• 12+ years of work experience in the tourism field and at least eight years in managerial level
• Experienced leader of people
• In-depth knowledge of the functioning of all units within a DMC; a previous leadership role in a DMC would be an advantage
• A proven capability to organise, distribute and complete work within a multinational and multicultural environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with powerful ability to persuade and influence people, internally and externally, at all levels
• A deep knowledge of the travel industry, including competitor activity
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (additional languages will be a distinct advantage)
• Strong work ethic with a real commitment to continuous improvement
