Platform Overview:

Group Finance is responsible for the Business Planning, Governance & Reporting of all financial activities across Mubadala in addition specialist teams manage Treasury, Investor Relations and Performance Management, all transactional finance is outsourced to Mubadala BMS.

We ensure that all financial information and activity in Mubadala is accurate and compliant with legislation and industry standards.

What Will You Do

The job requires management of all financial reporting activities for assigned platforms as well as management of other projects undertaken by the unit.

Specifically, the candidate must:

• Have experience in leading and managing teams
• Be able to collaborate with and influence a wide range of stakeholders, not only within FGR, but across the organisation.
• Be able tp demonstrate effective communication with abroad range of stakeholders, including seniors, peers and juniors
• Have professional qualification in accounting, focused on IFRS
• Have significant work experience in jurisdictions which report under IFRS, specifically with asset managers. Big 4 audit experience is a must
• Have experience in all aspects of financial reporting and consolidation, with a focus on asset management and consolidation suite of standards
• Have experience with managing external audits
  
  

What Will You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration.
• A relevant professional accounting qualification such as CA or ACCA is required.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in progressively more complex and senior-level roles across finance, audit and risk functions with deep experience in asset management.
• Preferably, experience in a large-scale organisation with complex business operations or experience working across various industries.
• Additional relevant experience is an advantage.
• Expert knowledge of international financial regulations, disclosure requirements and accounting practices.
• Strong knowledge of the broad spectrum of IFRS as applied to a variety of sectors, with a focus on consolidation suite of standards, business combination and financial instruments
• Strong knowledge of methodologies that support the development and continuous improvement of the financial and statutory reporting policies and practices.
• Expert level experience of preparing reports and presentations for senior management, boards and committees
• Strong technical knowledge and the ability to advice and influence key stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of Oracle and FCCS platforms is an advantage
