Job Role
The Assistant Supervisor supports the safe, efficient and cGMP-compliant operation of pharmaceutical packaging lines. The role coordinates packaging employees, ensures line clearance, setup, documentation and material reconciliation are completed correctly, monitors hourly output, and promptly reports deviations or technical issues to the appropriate supervisor.

The Assistant Supervisor supports the safe, efficient and cGMP-compliant operation of pharmaceutical packaging lines. The role coordinates packaging employees, ensures line clearance, setup, documentation and material reconciliation are completed correctly, monitors hourly output, and promptly reports deviations or technical issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Detailed Job Responsibilities
- Adhere to cGMP principles and maintain them effectively.
- Follow the gowning procedure as defined in the applicable SOP.
- Ensure team adherence to EMS and HSE requirements through monitoring, training and guidance.
- Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive departmental initiatives to improve environmental performance and strengthen the HSE culture.
- Organize the packaging line in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Check that area equipment and tools are clean before packaging begins.
- Distribute work to packaging employees and ensure compliance with SOPs and cGMP requirements.
- Participate in line-clearance activities.
- Perform line setup, line startup, reconciliations and material destruction, and complete all required documentation according to approved procedures.
- Complete the batch documentation for the assigned shift.
- Report mistakes or technical faults to the Team Leader or Specialist.
- Monitor hourly line capacity and support maximum line efficiency.
- Report deviations to the Specialist or Team Leader.
- Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
- Minimum Higher Secondary School qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
