Back Of House Assistant - Beauty Salon

Job Description

At Brau, we're passionate about creating exceptional experiences for every client who walks through our doors. We're looking for a proactive, organised, and customer-focused Back of House Team Member to help keep our salons running seamlessly.

As a Back of House Team Member, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the salon. You'll ensure treatment rooms are prepared to the highest standards, maintain cleanliness throughout the salon, manage stock, and support both our artists and reception team to deliver the premium experience Brau is known for.

Please note: This role has an anticipated start date of September 2026. Applications will be reviewed ahead of the opening, and suitable candidates will be contacted throughout the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and bays before every appointment.
• Ensure all treatment equipment is cleaned, sanitised, and fully stocked at all times.
• Maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation throughout the salon.
• Support artists by ensuring they have everything required to deliver outstanding treatments.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies from approved suppliers.
• Welcome guests with refreshments and assist with consultation forms where required.
• Escort guests to their treatment rooms and introduce them to their artist.
• Support the reception team during busy periods.
• Complete opening, closing, and daily operational checklists.
• Provide excellent customer service and create memorable experiences for every guest.
• Respond professionally to guest enquiries and escalate concerns where appropriate.
• Report maintenance issues and assist in ensuring they are resolved promptly.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding maintenance and operational requirements.
• Attend team meetings and support salon events when required.
• Assist with additional operational tasks as requested by management.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a beauty, spa, hospitality, or similar operational role.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible to work varying shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Knowledge of salon services, products, and professional standards is advantageous.
