Commis I - Bakery

As a Commis I – Bakery, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, production, and presentation of bakery items including breads, viennoiserie, pastries, and other baked goods. Working closely with senior bakery chefs, you will ensure high standards of quality, consistency, hygiene, and presentation are maintained. This role requires solid bakery skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced professional bakery environment.

Assist in the preparation, mixing, shaping, proofing, baking, and finishing of bakery products.

Produce breads, rolls, croissants, pastries, and other baked goods according to standard recipes.

Support Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie in daily bakery operations.

Prepare mise en place and ensure all ingredients are ready for production and service.

Ensure consistency in quality, taste, texture, and presentation of bakery items.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery section and equipment.

Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

Properly store, label, and rotate ingredients and finished products using FIFO procedures.

Operate bakery equipment safely and report any malfunctions immediately.

Assist in controlling portion sizes and minimizing food waste.

Support production schedules to ensure timely delivery of bakery items.

Assist in training and guiding Commis II when required.

Work collaboratively with the bakery team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Perform other duties as assigned by senior bakery chefs.
