Job Description
The Khaleeji Cook is responsible for preparing authentic Emirati and Gulf (Khaleeji) cuisine while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
The role requires experience in high volume catering operations and the ability to consistently deliver traditional dishes in remote site or industrial catering environments.

The Khaleeji Cook is responsible for preparing authentic Emirati and Gulf (Khaleeji) cuisine while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
The role requires experience in high volume catering operations and the ability to consistently deliver traditional dishes in remote site or industrial catering environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Emirati and Khaleeji dishes in accordance with approved recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented to company quality standards.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation across all meal services.
- Support high-volume food production while meeting service timelines.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food items using FIFO principles.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work area at all times.
- Comply with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Monitor food quality and report any issues related to ingredients or equipment.
- Minimize food wastage through effective portion control and proper stock utilization.
- Assist with inventory control and stock requisitions when required.
- Follow all company Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and food safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
Experience
- Up to 3 years of experience in preparing authentic Emirati (Khaleeji) cuisine.
- Proven experience in high volume catering or industrial kitchen operations.
- Relevant experience in the catering industry within the Middle East (UAE preferred).
- Previous experience in onshore catering operations or willingness to work at remote sites.
- Strong knowledge of traditional Emirati and Gulf cuisine.
- Ability to prepare meals efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Sound understanding of HACCP, food hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and portion control.
- Ability to maintain consistent quality under pressure.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow recipes, production schedules, and supervisors' instructions.
- Basic English communication skills (Arabic is an advantage).
- Remote site, camp, or industrial catering environment.
