As a Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry, your responsibilities include preparing and presenting high-quality pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods while maintaining exceptional standards of quality, consistency, and food safety. You will support the Pastry Chef and Chef de Partie in daily operations, contribute to menu development, and help ensure a clean, organized, and efficient pastry kitchen.
Key Job Responsibilities:

Prepare, bake, and present pastries, desserts, breads, cakes, and other baked products according to established recipes and presentation standards.

Maintain the highest standards of product quality, taste, texture, consistency, and visual presentation.

Assist the Pastry Chef and Chef de Partie in developing seasonal menus, new dessert concepts, and specialty items.

Ensure all pastry products are prepared in compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Accurately measure, mix, and handle ingredients while minimizing waste and maintaining cost efficiency.

Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock rotation (FIFO), and report ingredient requirements to ensure adequate supplies.

Train and support Commis Chefs and junior pastry team members, promoting continuous learning and high performance.

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped pastry kitchen, ensuring all equipment is used and maintained correctly.

Support dessert preparation and timely service during breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquets, and special events.

Adapt recipes and create pastry items to accommodate dietary requirements and guest preferences whenever required.

Stay informed about current pastry trends, baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles to contribute innovative ideas.

Participate in special culinary promotions, festive events, and guest engagements as required.
