The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the Leisure, Corporate and Transient Sales team at the hotel and deploy creative, dynamic, and impactful business strategies to achieve annual budget and crossover targets. As Director of Sales, you will oversee commercial strategies for the sales team, with the goal of improving performance by aligning strategy with business processes that drive revenue across Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Events. Key deliverables include setting sales deployment plans, optimizing team composition, and establishing a predictive and prescriptive cadence of activities to drive performance. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and networking skills, along with well-established relationships with leisure partners both within the UAE and internationally, while effectively managing key corporate accounts. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and sustained revenue growth.

- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the hotel's business objectives and revenue goals.
- Drive revenue growth across all segments, including Corporate, Leisure, MICE, Government, Wholesale, and Travel Trade.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
- Collaborate closely with Commercial Manager, Revenue Management and Marketing teams to optimize pricing, promotions, and business mix strategies.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key corporate clients, leisure partners, travel agencies, tour operators, event planners, and industry stakeholders.
- Leverage an established network of local and international partners to generate new business opportunities and increase market penetration.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, presentations, networking events, and property inspections to promote the hotel and secure business.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and agreements to maximize revenue while ensuring long-term client satisfaction and retention.
- Lead engage and develop sales team members, including ongoing performance development and Career Development Plans.
- Conduct performance reviews for all direct reports.
What It Takes to Make the Stay
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience within the UAE hospitality market.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Director of Sales in a 4-star or 5-star hotel environment.
- Strong understanding of hotel sales strategies, market dynamics, and revenue generation.
