Job Purpose

The Energy Engineer at UAE - PACTIVE will play a crucial role in developing, analyzing, and implementing innovative energy solutions within the Pactive Sustainable Solutions department. This position aims to optimize energy efficiency and sustainability practices, contributing to the company's commitment to environmental responsibility and operational excellence.

Roles, Responsibilities & Duties
  • Develop and evaluate renewable and conventional energy projects to optimize energy consumption and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement energy-efficient systems and technologies.
  • Conduct energy modeling, simulation, and audits to identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Support the development of sustainable energy policies and strategies consistent with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project progress to stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of energy industry trends, innovations, and best practices to continuously enhance project outcomes.
Qualification

We seek candidates equipped with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. Advanced certifications in energy management or renewable energy technologies are advantageous. A strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and energy systems is essential.

Proficiency with energy simulation software and tools, as well as familiarity with relevant national and international energy standards and codes, is required to ensure compliance and innovation.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities paired with effective communication skills will empower the successful candidate to excel in interdisciplinary collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Experience & Skills

The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in the energy sector, particularly within sustainable energy projects or energy efficiency programs. Proven expertise in conducting comprehensive energy audits, developing energy models, and managing energy-saving initiatives is crucial.

Strong skills in data analysis, project management, and the use of energy management information systems will be beneficial. Experience working with diverse teams and the capacity to navigate complex project demands are necessary for success.

The candidate should be proactive in staying current with emerging technologies and possess a demonstrated commitment to driving sustainability practices within organizational frameworks.
