Purpose of the Role
A leading educational institution is seeking a Head of Admissions who will be responsible for converting prospective family enquiries into registered students. This role serves as the first point of contact, creating a positive and lasting impression of the school. The Head of Admissions will manage the entire admissions journey—from initial enquiry and school tours through to enrolment, class allocation, and registration—while maintaining accurate student records and tracking pipeline conversions.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal, Senior Leadership Team, and Head of Inclusion to assess each child's suitability and needs, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition into school life.
Key Responsibilities
Whole-School Commitments (all staff)

Enquiry Management & Conversion
- Possess sufficient knowledge of the school's academic offerings, the unique aspects of the education provided, and the learning support available.
- Manage the pipeline of leads and convert prospective families to registered students, building relationships that move every enquiry to the next stage of the funnel.
- Liaise with parents by phone to welcome them to the school and arrange tours.
- Respond to all enrolment enquiries, telephone calls, and emails courteously and in a timely manner, working closely with the Front Desk on parent enquiries.
School Tours & Family Liaison
- Conduct school tours and discuss all elements of the school with potential families.
- Meet with prospective parents to explain admission procedures, curriculum, student support, fee structures, and regulations, assisting with the completion of all admissions documentation.
- Use a high degree of sensitivity in communicating with parents, particularly allowing them to open up about their children's potential additional needs.
Admissions Process & Compliance
- Work in close collaboration with the Head of Inclusion, Senior Leadership Team, and Principal throughout the admissions process, including determining each child's needs.
- Conduct student assessments to identify suitability for the school prior to joining.
- Manage class allocations for new students.
- Prepare all documentation needed to register students.
- Ensure admissions procedures and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
Data & Reporting
- Monitor and measure enquiries, enrolments, waiting lists, and conversions on an ongoing basis, summarising trends for the Principal and other parties as required.
- Provide statistical reports on students (nationalities, age, gender, etc.) as required. Basic knowledge of Word and Excel is essential.
- Update, maintain, and manage the student information database, ensuring up-to-date information is available daily.
Leaver & Re-enrolment Administration
- Assist in preparing exit documentation for withdrawing students (transcripts, transfer certificates, etc.) and manage the Transfer Certificate (TC) process, tracking leaver destinations.
- Maintain and create files for all new applicants, new students, current students, exiting students, and alumni.
- Manage the yearly re-enrolment process for the school.
Marketing & Outreach
- Plan and deliver outreach and in-house marketing activities for the school, including updating website content and brochures, and organising Open Days.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.

Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
Experience

Skills & Attributes
