Job Description

  • Assist in implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and company safety standards at site and office locations.
  • Support HSE Officers and Supervisors in conducting daily safety inspections and monitoring compliance with safety requirements.
  • Maintain and update HSE records, reports, permits, inspection checklists, and training documentation.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns to promote a positive safety culture.
  • Assist in conducting site safety audits, inspections, and observations, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure workers comply with site safety requirements.
  • Help identify workplace hazards and report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near-miss incidents.
  • Support incident and accident investigations by collecting information, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
  • Assist in emergency preparedness activities, including drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency equipment inspections.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and workers to ensure compliance with HSE regulations, client requirements, and company procedures.
  • Monitor housekeeping standards and environmental compliance across work areas.
  • Assist in maintaining first aid facilities, firefighting equipment records, and emergency response documentation.
  • Track employee safety inductions, HSE training attendance, and certification records.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE statistics and reports as required by management and clients.
  • Support permit-to-work (PTW) activities and ensure required safety documentation is available before work commencement.
  • Ensure safety signs, barricades, and warning notices are properly maintained and displayed.
  • Participate in site walk-throughs and provide recommendations for improving workplace safety.
  • Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors regarding HSE compliance requirements.
  • Perform other HSE-related duties assigned by the HSE Officer, HSE Manager, or Site Management.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
  • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE qualification preferred.
  • 2-5 years of HSE experience in construction, oil & gas, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international safety standards.
  • Good communication and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work in both site and office environments.
