Manager - Operational Excellence (MILAHI Center)

Drives the optimization and oversight of fleet performance and asset monitoring operations, ensuring maximum operational efficiency and reliability.
- Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage Fleet & Asset Monitoring and Performance Management to ensure ensuring economical voyage execution, efficient coordination of fleet activities, and incident response, with a focus on marine operations and ship management activities.
• Support all ADP operated vessels (Owned and Chartered vessels) to approve and execute a safe and economical voyage while maintaining schedules as provided by ADP / Charterers
• Provide guidance on routing, fuel optimization, navigation, and asset allocation based on real-time data, weather forecast reading, and predictive analytics.
• Track and report on KPIs related to Fleet & Asset monitoring, working with Performance Analysts to generate high-level insights, ensuring continuous quality management.
• Ensure all ADP owned vessels are adhering to ADP Security policy while navigating through high risk areas
• Engage with Vessel Performance Team on energy management for the vessels
• Work closely with other Milahi teams, including digital cluster, to integrate emerging technologies and optimize fleet monitoring and operational support services.
• Participate in Milahi steering committees and working groups, including those focused on Monitoring, Incident Coordination, Technology & Innovation, and Data Reporting & Insights.
• Develop shift planning and shift rosters for Milahi team.
People Management Responsibilities:
• Facilitate discussions and problem-solving sessions to lead teams to address MILAHI operational needs within the Cluster
• Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members, providing constructive feedback and setting goals for professional growth
• Foster a strong sense of collaboration and teamwork among team members to maximize their collective potential
Strategic Responsibilities:
• Engage in the development and implementation of the MILAHI strategic and tactical plans.
• Manage the identification and execution of improvement opportunities, supporting successful implementations, and building people capabilities.

Qualifications: Educational and Technical Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Maritime Studies or Nautical Science or equivalent
IMO regulatory (SOLAS, MARPOL) compliance certification/training
Marine related certifications such as Master Mariner etc
Language Skills:
Excellent English
Proficiency in other languages relevant to the Cluster footprint is an advantage
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of ocean-going experience, with at least 3 years experience as a Captain
Minimum 3 years in a leadership role within a fleet monitoring control center or similar environment
Nature of Experience:
Expertise in marine operations, ship management, navigation, performance management and regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership in marine resource management, fleet operations, and quality management.
Skilled in analyzing data to optimize fleet performance, weather forecasting, etc.
Strategic decision-making for fleet performance, resource allocation, and operations.
Proficiency in English for effective communication and reporting.
