Job Brief:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control and HSE Officer to support quality assurance and workplace safety initiatives within an industrial manufacturing environment. The role involves ensuring products meet quality standards, monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting inspections, and promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both quality inspection and health & safety practices, strong reporting skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with production and management teams. Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality inspections on materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
- Perform routine health and safety inspections across the manufacturing facility to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
- Monitor production processes and recommend corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
- Prepare inspection reports, quality records, and safety documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Investigate quality issues, non-conformities, incidents, and near misses, and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure adherence to internal quality procedures, health and safety policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with production and management teams to improve quality, performance, and workplace safety.
- Conduct safety awareness activities and support initiatives that promote a positive safety culture.
- Verify that equipment, work areas, and processes comply with established quality and safety standards.
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and HSE systems.
- Travel to project or operational sites as required to perform inspections and assessments.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in quality inspection and health & safety within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Valid driving licence with the ability to drive independently.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards, inspection procedures, and HSE regulations.
- Good communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Experience within industrial manufacturing environments is highly preferred. Food industry experience will not be considered for this role.
- Ability to identify quality issues and safety risks while recommending practical corrective actions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
